...was born September 12, 1951 in Danville, Pennsylvania. I was reared in Mooresburg, Pennsylvania by Ernie and Louise Bower. Growing up bored in the small village, and prior to the invention of ADHD or X-box, I decided to try music. I learned three chords on the guitar and faked the rest…poorly.
I attended the Mooresburg one-room schoolhouse, graduated from Danville High School in 1969, and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Franklin and Marshall College. I've recently retired from careers at the Aging Office and Welfare Office in Danville.
I've been married to Pat, the Sala-Enabler, for 35 years. We have two children and one grandchild. I now feel comfortable with four, maybe five chords. I still fake the rest...poorly.
...was born September 23, 1952 in Danville, Pennsylvania. I was reared in Mooresburg, Pennsylvania by Don and MaryEllen Kessler. I learned a little drums just to become a Salamander.
I graduated from Lewisburg Senior High School, Lafayette College, and Duke University. I'm formerly CEO of Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia, the H. H. Kessler Foundation, New Jersey. I'm presently the CEO of New York Eye and Ear Hospital, in Manhattan.
I have not touched a drumstick other than a turkey in 40 years. My wife, Judith, bought me a kit for my birthday upon the prospect of a Salamanders reunion. My daughter, Winnie, is amused.
...was born on March 7, 1955 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I was reared by Sam and Gladys Bower on their farm at the foot of Bald Top Mountain, Mooresburg, Pennsylvania. I began playing piano at age 8; studying both classical and neoclassical.
I graduated from Danville High School in 1973 and from Point Park College, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Communications. I live in Virginia with my wife Melinda, our Sala-Tech.
My Sala-nickname is Funky Chicken and I starred in the first-of-its-kind genre music video by the same name 40 years ago - now digitally re-mastered and available on DVD.
The Salamanders go "Country Club" with their October 2008 performance at the Danville Area High School Class of '73 Reunion. See the Photo Album
